With the generous support of donors, we have begun to develop a series of ‘museum quality’ printed postcards featuring images and items from our collections. The first of this series are four images taken from never-before-seen glass negatives belonging to Columbia’s own Lloyd Mifflin.
Lloyd Mifflin is said to have been an avid photographer in his day and often photographed subjects as visual references for his paintings. These images were taken directly from those very rare glass negatives: a studio self portrait, a horse with stable hand, two maintenance men working at Norwood, and a self-portraint near a lumber canal.
