‘Arts and Entertainment of Columbia’ Exhibit Opens April 22nd

‘Arts & Entertainment of Columbia‘ showcasing movie posters, artifacts, vaudeville, and play programs from the late 1800′s to current. Also, come see what lies beneath the ground of old privys of Columbia’s past from the 1700′s to early 1900′s. This exhibit opens on Sunday, April 22nd. ‘Music at the Museum‘ every fourth Friday of the month inside the Main Hall at CHiPS from 5-9 PM. Free to the public. Open Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Take a ride on the Tioga Central Railroad to attend the 71st State Laurel Festival and Parade, and to visit the spectacular Pennsylvania Grand Canyon! Sat., June 16. Cost is $70. Bus departs at 7 AM. Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday April 15th

Our Annual Membership Meeting will be held Sunday, April 15th at 1 PM. We will be electing the new Board of Directors and Officers for the 2012-2013 year. All Members are encouraged to attend. We are happy to announce that the museum will be re-opening from our winter break! We are planning to be open on Sunday afternoons beginning April 22nd from 1-4 PM. Also the Manse side of the museum be be open the fourth Friday each month from 5-9 PM. As always thank you for your friendship and support!

Join The Columbia Historic Preservation Society (CHiPS) on a bus trip to Washington, D.C. to attend the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Parade, to see the beautiful cherry blossom trees, and to visit the monuments on April 14, 2012. You will have plenty of free time to enjoy the events and to eat on your own.
DATE: Saturday, April 14, 2012
TIME: 7:00 A.M. (Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure.)
**We will be leaving Washington, D.C. at 4:00 P.M.**

Closing for the Winter

Donations are now being accepted on behalf of the Columbia Historic Preservation Society Benefit Auction. We need your help on preserving our past with monetary or item donation(s), to be auctioned. With a donation your name or business will be mentioned throughout the night of the auction by the auctioneer.
The items currently being auctioned are from the archives that have been collected that does not pertain to the history of Columbia. CHPS is an all volunteer corporation and accepts donations and performs fundraisers to survive. We will continue to provide our dedication to preserving your history for our future children of Columbia.
